“The seed is the Word of God.”

LUKE 8:11

The power is not in the sower. The power is in the Seed.

1

The Seed: The Word of God

Identified in the books of John and Romans as the Seed of the Bible. The Word of God is:

  • Perfect Psalm 19:7
  • Living Hebrews 4:12
  • Incorruptible 1 Peter 1:23
  • Fruit-bearing Mark 4:20
2

The Sower: The Messenger of God

Before planting the Seed, the sower must prepare his heart, and claim and mark the field.

  • Pray for compassion Matthew 9:36–38
  • Walk in the Spirit Galatians 5:16
  • Keep a clean testimony 2 Timothy 2:21
  • Be ready to speak 1 Peter 3:15

A clean vessel carries the Seed effectively.

3

The Field: Where God Sends You

Jesus said, “Lift up your eyes… the fields are white already to harvest.” John 4:35

Labors are directly connected to the harvest, which is directly connected to the seed you have sown.

  • Your neighborhood, on your street
  • Your workplace
  • Your school
  • Your city
  • A mission field
  • A specific group God burdens your heart for

The field is often right where you already are.

4

Begin With Prayer

Prayer prepares the soil of the heart. Pray for:

  • Open doors Colossians 4:3
  • Boldness Ephesians 6:19
  • Clarity Colossians 4:4
  • Divine appointments Acts 8:26–29

Prayer goes before the Seed.

5

Listen to People

Jesus listened before He spoke. Listening reveals:

  • Needs
  • Hurts
  • Fears
  • Opportunities

Listening earns the right to be heard.

6

Build Relationship

Jesus often ministered around meals and conversations. Relationship creates:

  • Trust
  • Openness
  • Receptivity

This is the heart of the Good Samaritan: compassion before proclamation.

7

Show Kindness

Acts of kindness soften hard soil. Examples:

  • Helping a neighbor
  • Meeting a need
  • Encouraging someone
  • Serving without expecting anything
  • Making sure every person receives a scripture

Kindness opens doors the enemy has closed.

8

Plant the Seed: Share the Word

Ways to plant the Seed of God:

  1. Give Scripture (John & Romans)
  2. Share your testimony
  3. Quote a verse
  4. Pray with someone
  5. Explain the Gospel (Marked Edition)

The Seed must be sown, not stored.

9

Trust God for the Growth

Paul said: “I planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.” 1 Corinthians 3:6

Your responsibility

  1. Plant
  2. Water
  3. Be faithful

God's responsibility

  1. Convict
  2. Save
  3. Transform

Never confuse the two.

10

Expect a Harvest: Live for the Harvest

“He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing.” Psalm 126:6

If you sow faithfully, you will reap. Always focus on the harvest.

God honors His Word.
